The United States Power Squadons will feature their high-tech boating simulator at the Progressive Akron Boat & Water Sports Show and all visitors are invited to take the helm. There will also be information about the many USPS boating classes offered both on line and in classrooms throughout this spring. USPS boasts more available boating courses than any other such organization.

Dan Armitage will discuss the basics of fishing while demonstrating the use of simple tackle, hooks, bobbers and live bait featuring props that include the World’s Largest Bobber and the World’s Biggest Fishing Hook at this year’s Progressive Akron Boat & Water Sports Show. Armitage shows how to rig and use a cane pole and allows the kids to handle live bait like worms and minnows.

Meet Webster from the Akron RubberDucks!
Whether you’re a member of the “Quack Pack” or just want a picture with Akron’s favorite RubberDuck, visitors to the 2018 Progressive Akron Boat & Water Sports Show will have a good time meeting Webster, the baseball team’s lovable mascot.
Webster will make a one-day appearance in the boat show on Saturday, March 3, at 3:30 p.m.
